Netflix Announces Sacred Games Season 2 And We Surely Can’t Keep Calm

Sacred Games is a thriller series based on the 2006 novel by Vikram Chandra. Season 1 of the series starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan and was produced in collaboration with Phantom films which later became the most watched Netflix originals in India.  Netflix has now officially announced the Sacred Games season 2.

The announcement was massive with news via social media platforms. A 45-second long teaser was released featuring a mandala spinning around the voices of characters. Ganesh Gaitonde was played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sartaj Singh by Saif Ali Khan and, RAW Agent by Radhika Apte.



Netflix posted a picture on Instagram saying, ‘Is Baar Kya Hoga Bhagwaan Bhi Nahin Jaanta’ and tweeted saying, ‘The Worst Is Yet To Come’.

According to reports, Erick Barmack, the vice president of International Netflix Originals said, ‘We’ve been thrilled by the response of Sacred Games from fans worldwide, and especially in India, to this high-quality production’.

He further added, ‘It’s incredibly exciting for us to take the story of Sacred Games forward and open a new chapter in the series with its second season.’

Sacred Games Season 2 will again be directed by Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap while Neeraj Ghaywan will take over Sartaj Singh’s plot from Vikramaditya Motwane.

Although no official date has been announced yet but with these communications we surely can’t keep calm.
