Morris Garages Revealed Hector, The Upcoming SUV
Morris Garages revealed Hector, the upcoming SUV which will hit the markets soon. The SUV looks muscular, tough, and sturdy with rugged features. It is said that Hector will give a rivalry to Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, and the upcoming Hyundai Tucson.
Talking about the exterior of Hector, it has a large honeycomb grille with the octagonal MG badge in the center. This is placed in the middle of the front fascia. It has the dual-function LED DRLs which are placed in the bumper. The headlamps of the Hector are placed above the fog lamps with the chrome finish. MG Hector has multi-spoke alloys and is also equipped with front parking sensors.
Although, the details about the interior of the Hector is yet to be unveiled by Morris Garages Motors. But few details are shared with the carmaker. Talking about few details about the interiors, Hector will get a vertically oriented 10l4 inch touch screen on the dash. It will be the largest screen in the 35 lakh price bracket. This will also be supported by internet connectivity through an eSIM and a digital assistant. This eSim will be by Airtel.
MG Hector SUV will have a 2.0-liter diesel with 1.5 liters petrol-hybrid engine. The diesel unit of Hector is same as that of Jeep Compass. It is rated at 173PS of power and 350Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine of the Hector will have a 48V mild-hybrid system. This technology makes MG Hector the first one to offer it in India. This will have an output of 140PS of power and 250Nm of torque which will match to a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Morris Garages Hector is said to launch in May 2019. The price range will start from 15 lakh.
