It was an exciting day in Trent Bridge, Nottingham, England. Fans witnessed a nasty fight between Australia and West Indies. It didn’t start well for Australia as the top order crumbled without doing anything worth while. David Warner and Aron Finch went back to pavilion without even making it to a double digit. Warner for 3(8) at the hands of Sheldon Cottrel and Finch at 6(10) by Oshane Thomas. Khawaja also went back at just 13(19) thanks to Andre Russel. Steve Smith who kept his position for a good 73 run score in 103 balls was sent back home because of Sheldon Cottrel’s unbelievable catch. Maxwell’s disheartening 0 once again going to Cottrel’s kitty.

Surprisingly Nathan Coulter- Nile’s 90 in 60 balls saved Australia’s falling grace finally putting 288 all out on the score board. It’s a weird thing to notice that the entire Australian team was caught out, not a single wicket in any other form.

West Indies bating was quite disappointing , Gayle and Lewls getting out quickly. Hope scored a 68 but that also in 106 balls. Mitchell Starc turning out to be the hero of the match, taking 5 wickets giving away just 46 runs with an economy of 4.6. His death over bowling was magnificent! He was responsible for sending away the most dangerous Andre Russel back to the pavilion. Nathan Coulter- Nile was declared the man of the match for his unexpected 90(60).
